Kennemer Supported By Oregon Agriculture

Oregon Farmers, Ranchers, Nursery Operators Endorse Kennemer

Oregon City- Oregon’s farmers and nursery operators have endorsed Bill Kennemer’s re-election for State Representative in House District 39. He is supported by major organizations representing Oregon agriculture, including the Oregon and Clackamas Farm Bureaus, Oregon Association of Nurseries and AG-PAC.

“Agriculture is important to our district, and is vital to Clackamas County’s economy,” Rep. Kennemer said. “I’m proud of my strong record of supporting local farmers and nursery owners, and I’ll continue to work on issues important to agriculture, including transportation and common sense labor policies.”

During his current term, Rep. Kennemer voted to pass agriculture-supported legislation such as a bill allowing state agencies to purchase Oregon-grown agricultural products and a bill to crack down on metal theft. In addition, he opposed tax increases and policies that are harmful to farmers and nursery operators, including Measures 66 and 67.

“It’s important for the Oregon Legislature to protect agriculture,” Rep. Kennemer said. “I look forward to working with agriculture groups during the next legislative session to keep our local family farms and nurseries viable.”
